The present invention addresses the problem of providing a technology that converts a Brassica rapa plant having self-incompatibility to having self-compatibility. The problem is solved by causing a pollen factor (SP11) to be inactive at a self-incompatibility gene locus for a Brassica rapa plant, while maintaining the inverted repeat sequence (SMI) on a class-I dominant S haplotype.
