<p>The present invention provides a reader device which can be prevented from inadvertently reading identification information out of an ID tag carried by a user who has no intention of receiving authentication. Therefore, provided is a reader device (5) for reading, when a first radio signal is received, identification information from an information storage medium for transmitting, by a second radio signal, identification information stored therein, wherein the reader device is provided with: an image-capturing unit (54) for photographing a user approaching the reader device; a gaze detection unit (55) for detecting, on the basis of the image photographed by the image-capturing unit, that the user's gaze is directed within a predetermined target range; a transmission unit (51) for transmitting the first radio signal when the user's gaze is detected to be directed within the predetermined target range by the gaze detection unit; a reception unit (52) for receiving the second radio signal broadcasted from the information storage medium; and a control unit (53) for acquiring identification information from the second radio signal received by the reception unit.</p> |
