<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for an auto-ranging temperature sensor.SOLUTION: A system 100 for sensing and measuring temperature includes: at least one analog signal amplifier 110 that generates an amplified analog signal output 116 based on an analog signal 152 from at least one of a biased thermistor circuit 154 and a calibration circuit 156; and a digital-to-analog converter 160 that generates an analog offset signal 161 as an input to the at least one analog signal amplifier, where the analog offset signal shifts the amplified analog signal within an input operating range of the analog-to-digital converter when the amplified analog signal is equal to or greater than a limit of the input operating range of the analog-to-digital converter 130. The analog offset signal is determined on the basis of the magnitude of the amplified analog signal.</p> |
