Disclosed is a system for acquiring and using image data and generating a three-dimensional reconstruction of a subject. The three-dimensional reconstruction can be used to assist in determining various features, including axis and planes of a subject or members placed relative to the subject. The system can be implemented to plan and perform a procedure relative to the subject.

1. A method of imaging a subject for performing a procedure, comprising:
accessing a first image data set including at least one image projection of the subject; determining a subject landmark in the first image data set; determining a geometric configuration of the subject based on the determined subject landmark; evaluating the geometric configurations to determine at least one post-procedure configuration of the subject; and executing instructions with a processor system to illustrate the evaluated geometric configurations relative to a position of a prosthetic member within the subject to determine if the post-procedure configuration will be achieved.
