This particle beam irradiation device is provided with: a scanning electromagnet (2) for scanning an irradiation target with a particle beam; a scanning information storage unit (4) which stores scanning position information that relates to multiple scanning positions in the case of scanning an irradiation target with a particle beam, and scanning order information that is the scanning order of multiple scanning positions; and a scanning electromagnet control unit (8) which controls the scanning electromagnet on the basis of the scanning position information and the scanning order information stored in the scanning information storage unit. In some of the scanning position information stored in the scanning information storage unit, the scanning position information of scanning positions that are adjacent in the scanning order is the same.
