The cell (401) has first and second electrodes (403, 407) arranged on conductive substrates (411, 413). Conductive elements (417, 421) i.e. nano-wires, are connected with the substrates through electrically conductive layer arrangements (415, 419). The first electrode is formed as anode (405), and second electrode is formed as a cathode (409). The conductive element includes a first charging condition based on first expansion coefficient. The conductive layer arrangement includes a second charging condition based on second expansion coefficient, which is smaller than the first coefficient. A first layer of the conductive layer arrangement is inert for charge carriers, and the second layer of the conductive layer arrangement is formed from metal silicide. The substrate is formed as a current collector at which the nano-wires are secured. |
