The method comprises the following operations: a) providing a mold (12) with a bottom (14) and an upper edge (16); b) the molten glass drop should fall to the bottom (14) of the mold (12); c) starting the mold (12) in rotational motion about a vertical axis (XX) to induce spreading of the molten glass drop at the bottom (14) of the mold (12), by centrifugation, and thereby to obtain a glass cake, corresponding to the shape of the article; and d) removing the cooled glass article from the mold (12). Before the step b), on the upper edge (16) of the mold (12) is placed a shut off ring (30), which is driven rotationally by the used mold (12) in step c)- this provides an opportunity to block the increasing of the glass trough the shut off ring (30) and to obtain a glass article with complex form. The glass articles are designed for kitchen furnishing and decoration. |
