<p>A mooring line release mechanism that can be remotely opened or disconnected to allow a vessel's Captain or assigned crewmember to release the eye of a mooring line from a mooring structure without the need of personnel near the mooring structure and while remaining onboard the vessel. The subject matter discussed herein relates generally to mooring lines to ships and large vessels and more particularly, to quick releasing mooring lines.</p> |
