producing a hollow body (5) by a deep-drawing process, whereby a circumferential shoulder (7), which extends between two shell sections (8, 9) essentially in a plane that is inclined to a plane (F) which is perpendicular to the deep-drawing direction (R) of the deep-drawing process, is formed in the shell (6) of the hollow body (5), and cutting the hollow body (5) along the shoulder (7) in order to obtain the cup-shaped body (1), with the flange (3) of the cup-shaped body (1) being formed from at least a part of the shoulder (7).
