The mechanically-operated tool (1) has an instep shaft (2) that is inserted into a tubular metal cylinder (6). The instep shaft is connected with a restraint portion (3) and a stone drill bit (10). A hollow drill crown portion (9) is formed at a first open side of the tubular metal cylinder. A tool holder (4) is provided at a second side of the tubular metal cylinder. A smooth tooth portion is provided at an outer surface. The instep shaft is guided in a selectable operating position of the tubular metal cylinder through center of rotation of the instep shaft.
