PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall surface greening and air purification apparatus by which the number of ducts for sending air to be purified can be reduced or the ducts can be eliminated, and which can be installed without significantly protruding from a wall surface, and a system using the apparatus.SOLUTION: A wall surface greening and air purification apparatus 1 is in a wall panel shape having: a plant growth base 2 where plants 20 are planted on one side; and a ventilation layer forming member 4 where a ventilation layer 3 along the other side of the plant growth base 2 is formed. A mesh material 5 is interposed between the plant growth base 2 and the ventilation layer 3. An in-zone soil supporting material 6, through which water can pass and which divides the plant growth base 2 into a plurality of zones and supports load of soil in the zones, is interposed in the plant growth base 2. The plant growth base 2 may be formed in an individual greening unit for each zone.
