PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a currency processing system which perfectly prevents an erroneous operation and an illicit operation by a bank clerk.SOLUTION: A currency processing system comprises a currency processing main machine and a currency processing terminal, which are configured to perform mutual communication. The currency processing terminal comprises: user information acquiring means; user identifying means for acquiring verification result between user information obtained by the user information acquiring means and user information of a user who is set as an authorized person in the currency processing main machine; operation information acquiring means; operation identifying means for acquiring verification result between operation information obtained by the operation information acquiring means and the operation information of an operation set as an authorized operation in the currency processing main machine; and controlling means for switching the currency processing terminal between a usable state and an unusable state on the basis of the verification result obtained at the user identifying means and the verification result obtained at the operation identifying means.
