This curve modeling device is provided with a curvature calculation unit (36), a curvature correction unit (38), and a node information generation unit (40). The curvature calculation unit calculates the curvature at each of a plurality of sampling points on a path. The curvature correction unit corrects the curvature at each of the plurality of sampling points in such a manner that the path is approximated by one of a straight line segment, an arc segment and a transition curve segment. The node information generation unit models curves on the route by generating node information, which represents the positions of nodes on a road corresponding to the route, on the basis of a plurality of corrected curves at the plurality of sampling points. For each of the plurality of sampling points, the curvature correction unit corrects the curvature on the path so as to maintain orientation differences based on the curvature calculated by the curvature calculation unit. |
