Producing a preform made of at least two partial-preforms for a component of fiber reinforced plastic, comprises producing a first partial preform (1) made of many layers (3, 4, 5, 6, 7) of fiber fabric and/or fiber scrim, and producing a second partial preform (2) by spraying the fiber sections on a molding tool. The partial preforms are molded such that the first partial preform encloses the second partial preform in a connecting region (9) on two sides, preferably on top- and bottom side. The second partial preform in the connecting region has at least two levels on each of two sides. Producing a preform made of at least two partial-preforms for a component of fiber reinforced plastic, comprises producing a first partial preform (1) made of many layers (3, 4, 5, 6, 7) of fiber fabric and/or fiber scrim, and producing a second partial preform (2) by spraying the fiber sections on a molding tool. The partial preforms are molded such that the first partial preform encloses the second partial preform in a connecting region (9) on two sides, preferably on top- and bottom side. The second partial preform in the connecting region has at least two levels on each of two sides, and the levels are contacted with the first partial preform.
