The present invention relates to an electroacoustic transducer having an electromagnetic damping function. The electroacoustic transducer comprises a frame, a diaphragm fixated at the frame, one pair of magnets installed inside the frame, and a coil member fixated at the diaphragm, wherein the magnets are installed to be parallel to each other with a gap therebetween, top plates are installed on the top surfaces of the magnets and one lower plate is installed on the bottom surfaces of the magnets so as to form a magnetic circuit, and the coil member includes two voice coils installed perpendicularly in the gap to vibrate the diaphragm vertically, and two damping coils installed to be horizontal above the gap and vibrating in the opposite direction of the vibration of the voice coils, such that the damping coils perform an electromagnetic damping function suppressing the vibrations of the diaphragm when the diaphragm is vibrated vertically by the voice coils. |
