1. A computer-implemented method for using a mobile computing device corresponding to a user to purchase a product being offered for sale by a retailer, comprising:
when the mobile computing device has selected an item indicating the product: obtaining, at the processing device, item information related to the item; generating, at the processing device, item display data based on the item information; transmitting, at the processing device, the item display data to the mobile computing device, the item display data prompting the mobile computing device to display the item information and an operational input in a graphical user interface of the mobile computing device; receiving, at the processing device, a command in response to a prescribed number of actions input by the user to the operational input, the command causing the processing device to perform at least one of:
a. in response to a single-action user input to the operational input, add the item to an electronic shopping cart corresponding to the user;b. in response to a double-action user input to the operational input, provide purchasing information to the mobile computing device, the purchasing information corresponding to the user, andc. in response to a triple-action user input to the operational input, complete an order to purchase the item for the user. |
