A method and an apparatus for measuring Korean word similarity are disclosed. The present invention provides the method for measuring Korean word similarity, which is performed in a computer and comprises the following steps, in which the computer: extracts at least two comparison target words from provided input data; analyzes syllables and phonemes in each of the extracted comparison target words; compares the syllables analyzed in each of the comparison target words to calculate syllable distances; if the syllable distance is greater than zero, calculates a phoneme distance for each syllable which is a phoneme distance for one or more phonemes, which are all different from each other, among the comparison target words; acquires the phoneme distance for a minimum syllable which is a minimum value among phoneme distances for each syllable; and applies a predetermined syllable weighting factor to the syllable distance and applies a predetermined phoneme weighting factor to the phoneme distance for each minimum syllable, to measure the similarity. |
