PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for generating functional safety data concerning functional safety of an electronic device.SOLUTION: A design support system 1 includes a safety analysis system 2 of a developer, a safety analysis system 3 of a customer, and a shared database 4 which is used for generating a customizable analysis report 6 and stores safety data including the customizable analysis report 6 and a failure list 7. The customizable analysis report 6 includes analysis configuration data 8, an analysis report 9, a part-level analysis report 10, and a safety mechanism report 11. The analysis report 9 includes failure impact analysis data 12, failure cover rate analysis data 13, a lambda value 14, and a hardware metric value and a probabilistic metric value 15 for random hardware failure. The part-level analysis report 10 includes a list 16 of an element, element characterizing data 17, and a list of failure dependency analysis 18.
