PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device that allows suppressing a rush current while suppressing an increase in loss.SOLUTION: A power conversion device according to the present invention includes: a smoothing capacitor 6 smoothing a DC voltage; an inverter circuit 8 converting a bus voltage that is a DC voltage after smoothed by the smoothing capacitor 6 to generate an AC voltage for driving a motor 10; and a microcomputer 12 controlling operation of the inverter circuit 8 on the basis of the bus voltage. The microcomputer 12 stops the generating operation of the AC voltage for driving the motor 10 by the inverter circuit 8 and charges the smoothing capacitor 6 by using a regenerative voltage generated by the motor 10 when the bus voltage is under a predetermined threshold value. |
