<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of replacing a twofold plate cylinder with an onefold plate cylinder by utilizing an existing twofold plate cylinder rotary press.SOLUTION: A twofold plate cylinder is dismounted from a rotary press, in which an ink supply device in which the twofold plate cylinder mounted with a press plate 1 and a blanket cylinder 4 for transcribing ink supplied to the twofold plate cylinder on a web 3 are contactably arranged and inking rollers 20 and 21, contacted with the twofold plate cylinder and supplying ink to the surface of the press plate 1 are provided and a dampening device comprising a watering roller 22 for supplying dampening water to the surface of the press plate 1 are arranged. The rotary press is reformed while using an existing ink supply device and an existing dampening device, so that the ink and the dampening water can be supplied to the surface of the press plate 1 around the onefold plate cylinder 2. In the reform, when rollers are arranged between the inking rollers 20 and 21 and between the watering roller 22 and an existing roller arranged to contact the periphery of the onefold plate cylinder 2, rollers are arranged by the number to keep rotation directions of the inking rollers 20 and 21 and the watering roller 22 set before the reform.</p> |
