DISTANCE DETECTING METHOD BY INFRARED RAY WAVELENGTH MEASUREMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance detecting method which detects an accurate distance to a target by receiving three-wave infrared radiation emitted from the target of unknown distance and transmitted in atmosphere, using an infrared element.SOLUTION: By receiving infrared radiation emitted from a target 1 using an infrared element 3 with three waves, selecting two of the three waves from wavelength band in which infrared attenuation factor in the atmosphere is approximately 0, and selecting the remaining one wave from a wavelength band which absorbs infrared radiation in the atmosphere, a distance to a target is detected.
