A developing device is provided. The developing device includes a housing, a developer carrier which is rotatably supported by the housing, and a layer thickness regulating member which includes a blade configured to contact the developer carrier along a rotational axial direction of the developer carrier, a support member supporting the blade, and a reinforcement member provided at an opposite side to the support member with respect to the blade and reinforcing the blade. The support member includes a first part which contacts the blade, and to which the blade is fixed, a second part which is connected to the reinforcement member, and a third part which is attached to the housing. As viewed from the rotational axial direction, the first part and the third part are provided on a same first plane, and the second part is provided on a second plane intersecting with the first plane. |

1. A developing device comprising:
a housing; a developer carrier which is rotatably supported by the housing, and which is configured to carry developer on a circumferential surface thereof; and a layer thickness regulating member including:
a blade which is configured to contact the circumferential surface of the developer carrier at a contact portion along a rotational axial direction of the developer carrier;a support member which supports the blade; anda reinforcement member which is provided at an opposite side to the support member with respect to the blade and which reinforces the blade, the layer thickness regulating member being configured to regulate a layer thickness of the developer on the circumferential surface of the developer carrier; wherein the support member includes:
a first bending part;a first support part which contacts the blade, and to which the blade is fixed;a second support part which is connected to the first support part via the first bending part; andan attachment part which includes an attachment hole and is attached to the housing using a fastener inserted in the attachment hole, and wherein the reinforcement member includes:
a second bending part;a first reinforcement part which contacts the blade to sandwich the blade with the first support part; anda second reinforcement part which is connected to the first reinforcement part via the second bending part and is fixed to the second support part, wherein as viewed from the rotational axial direction, a surface of the first support part and a surface of the attachment part are provided on a same first flat plane, and a surface of the second support part is provided on a second flat plane intersecting with the first flat plane, the second flat plane being provided between the attachment hole and the contact portion. |
