Disclosed is an operating control mechanism for a garden tool, the mechanism comprising a control button (7) and a pair of handles (12) located at both sides of the control button. Triggers (6) are arranged on the handles. The operating control mechanism further comprises stop components (2) which are movable relative to the handles. The handles can rotate around axes by moving the stop components. The operating control mechanism can meet the operation demands of different users.
