Provided is a light source module that emits a set light amount. Specifically, the light source module is provided with: a laser element that emits light; an ND filter that comprises an entry surface that is oriented to be perpendicular to the optical axis of light that is emitted from the laser element, and into which the light enters; a drive means that drives the ND filter without changing the orientation of the entry surface and changes the position of the ND filter into which light enters; and a control means that controls the drive means in accordance with the set light amount. In addition, the ND filter has a transmittance that varies slightly according to the position thereof.
