PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide intragastric balloon systems and therapeutic processes and products.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a gastric space filler system 10 for treating obesity in a patient by reducing the stomach volume, comprising at least two flexible inflatable space fillers 12 and 14 secured to each other, a first space filler being inflatable to a volume inside the stomach 40 and not in fluid communication with the other remaining space fillers, and a drug delivery mechanism. In one embodiment, the drug delivery mechanism comprises a drug reservoir, a drug-releasing pump attached to the drug reservoir, and a marker sensor for triggering the drug-releasing pump for drug dispensing. |
