<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool holder for providing a plurality of constitutions for supplying a working fluid, which is changeable among a plurality of constitutions by suppressing induction of an error to the utmost, preferably by a completely errorless method.SOLUTION: In a tool holder which is a steep taper shank, at least one blocking member (50, 52a, 52b) is provided in relation to at least one fluid passage (28, 30a, 30b), and constituted so as to block or open at least one fluid passage (28, 30a, 30b) by a method depending on a direction. At least one blocking member (50, 52a, 52b) can be constituted or arranged so as to allow circulation of a working fluid to an intended supply direction, and so as not to allow circulation of the working fluid to an opposite direction to the intended supply direction. The tool holder can be constituted as, for example, a chuck or a clamp chuck.</p> |
