1. A surgical system for treating a flail chest comprising:
one or more rib clamps for attachment to a segment of a rib; each clamp having a terminal connector pin; an elongate connector bar having multiple terminal pin reception holes; each pin having an O-ring groove and an O-ring located in said groove to connect said pin to said connector bar;
whereby terminal pins connecting said rib clamps to said connector bar by said O-ring, function together to re-approximate and support the chest cavity to support respiration. |
