The fluid-flow machine (10) has a bearing device (22) that is provided with a radial bearing (24) which surrounds a portion (46) of the axial extension of a rotor assembly (12) in the circumferential direction of the rotor assembly. The inner circumference of the radial bearing of the bearing device is set larger than or equal to an external periphery of a turbine wheel (18). An independent claim is included for a method for assembling a fluid-flow machine.
