CONTAINER FOR MICROWAVE OVEN

[Problem] To provide a container for a microwave oven in which an entire food item can be heated in a short time without there being any unevenness in the heating of the food item. [Solution] The container (10A) for a microwave oven is made, using as raw materials a silicone resin and a mineral powder which is capable of radiating far infrared rays and which has been heat-treated at a predetermined temperature, by forming a mixture in which the mineral powder has been uniformly mixed into the silicone resin into a predetermined shape. In the container (10A), the mineral powder uniformly dispersed in the silicone resin is caused to self-heat by microwaves from the microwave oven and the temperature of the mineral powder rises, and far infrared rays are radiated from the mineral powder onto the food item contained in the container (10A).
