The aim of the present invention is to provide a light irradiation apparatus which can exactly and easily adjust the wire direction of a wire grid polarizer. The light irradiation apparatus comprises a light source; the wire grid polarizer (16) for polarizing the light of the light source; and a frame (14) to dispose the wire grid polarizer (16), wherein the wire grid polarizer (16) is mounted in the frame (14) to be able to rotate, and the light irradiation apparatus comprises an irradiation device to adjust the rotation of the wire grid polarizer (16).
