INTEGRATED INTRADERMAL DELIVERY, DIAGNOSTIC, AND INFORMATION TRANSFER SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IDDC system which improves patient compliance, quality of medical care, and economy of users.SOLUTION: An IDDC system utilizes a therapeutic agent delivery system which comprises: an array of 'cells' containing a therapeutic agent and/or a diagnostic agent; and an integrated biosensing system designed to sample and analyze a biological material using multiple sensors. A software component involves biomedical signals to analyze complex liquid mixtures, and a microcontroller acts as an interface for controlling the amount of a therapeutic agent to be delivered and also for providing information in a useful form to desired interested parties on the progress of therapy and compliance thereto. The synergistic effect of these elements is expected to dramatically improve the patient compliance, quality and timeliness of provided care, and at the same time reduce the cost of providing effective healthcare to system users, thereby improving profitability of care management organizations and pharmaceutical companies utilizing the system.
