PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch an operation mode of a communication terminal device depending on another communication terminal device to be connected when connecting the communication terminal device and the other communication terminal device through short-range communication.SOLUTION: A communication terminal device comprises a plurality of operation modes and is capable of short-range communication with other communication terminal device. The communication terminal device determines whether or not another communication terminal device carried in proximity to the communication terminal device is detected through the short-range communication, and when it is determined that another communication terminal device is detected, the communication terminal device is switched to the operation mode corresponding to the other communication terminal device.
