PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element having a high efficiency, a low driving voltage and a long life by employing a combination of various kinds of materials for an organic EL element so that the characteristics possessed by the respective materials can be effectively exhibited, the materials being excellent in hole and electron injection/transport performance and stability and durability in the form of a thin film.SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent element incudes an anode electrode 2, a hole injection layer 3, a hole transport layer 4, a luminous layer 5, an electron transport layer 7 and a cathode electrode 9, in the order. The hole injection layer contains an arylamine compound having a structure where three or more triphenylamine structures are bonded together via a single bond or a divalent group including no heteroatom in the molecule; and the hole transport layer contains an arylamine compound having two triphenylamine structures in the molecule. |
