Provided is a process cartridge for which favorable image output is possible and that suppresses the generation of a banding image that arises when an electrophotography photoreceptor and a charging member come into contact and rotate. The charging member has a conductive base and a conductive resin layer. The resin layer has a binder, conductive micro-particles, and resin particles having an opening and a bowl shape. The surface of the charging member has recesses derived from the opening of the bowl-shaped resin particles and projections derived from the edges of the opening. The electrophotography photoreceptor has a support body and a photoreceptive layer, and a surface layer of the photoreceptor contains a specific resin (α), a specific resin (&bgr;), and a specific compound (γ).
