PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film exhibiting gas and vapor barrier properties and an unprecedentedly effective antibiotic activity useful for diverse purposes including medical and healthcare applications, a method for manufacturing the film, and an article including the film.SOLUTION: The provided laminate film is constituted by a multilayer polymer comprising: a first film layer including at least one gas- and vapor-barrier organic polymer; a core layer including at least one elastomeric organic polymer; and a second film layer including at least one sealing organic polymer and at least one antibiotic. The gas- and vapor-barrier organic polymer of the first film layer includes a homopolymer or copolymer including vinyl alcohol and additionally includes an alkene unsaturated carboxylic acid or unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative copolymer. The elastomeric organic polymer of the core layer includes a polyolefin elastomer. |
