<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which reduces load on an operator's body when the operator arranges equipment such as a shopping bag, increases the work efficiency, and improves the appearance around a register.SOLUTION: A checkout system is configured to include a checkout counter and a checkout device having a money storage part risen up from the checkout counter and storing money. The checkout counter is provided with: a top plate including an installation area for installing the checkout device and a shopping basket passing area in front of the installation area for allowing a shopping basket to pass; and an equipment arrangement part for arranging equipment under the top plate. The checkout device is provided with an equipment storage part for storing the equipment below the money storage part. In the installation area, formed is an opening of a hole part connecting the upper part of the installation area and the equipment arrangement part through the top plate. The equipment storage part is a space formed between the money storage part and the top plate when the checkout device is risen up from the top plate.</p> |
