The present invention provides a method for decoding a downlink channel, a method for transmitting downlink information, a user equipment, and a base station. The method for decoding a downlink channel comprises: a user equipment determining a resource unit occupied by a DMRS; and decoding a downlink channel based on the DMRS transmitted on the resource unit. By means of the present invention, different DMRS patterns exist on an NCT carrier, and the DMRS patterns used for downlink transmission are determined in a downlink transmission process according to priorities of different channels and/or signals, which ensures that a channel and/or signal having a high priority has an optimal performance, and further improves the performance of downlink transmission.
