In order to ensure synchronization between a plurality of transmission points in the case of transmitting downlink signals from said transmission points to a user terminal, this wireless communication system is provided with a first wireless base station that forms a first cell, a second wireless base station that forms a second cell arranged so as to overlap a region of the first cell, and a user terminal that can communicate wirelessly with the first wireless base station and the second wireless base station, wherein the second wireless base station includes: a reception unit that receives, from the user terminal, synchronization correction information for ensuring synchronization between synchronization targets; and a synchronization correction unit that corrects the synchronization on the basis of the synchronization correction information.
