The present invention relates to a sprocket (1) for a bucket (10), particularly for a bucket-wheel excavator, having a sprocket body (11), one accommodating side (12) of which can be accommodated on a bucket cutting edge (13) of the bucket (10), and therefore the sprocket tip (14) of the sprocket (1) carries out a line movement on a cutting circle (16) by rotating the bucket wheel (15).
