RECEIPT AND/OR COUPLING OF THREADED RODS RESPECTIVELY HAVING INCOMPATIBLE THREAD PATTERNS

An apparatus for receiving any of a particular set of threaded rods respectively having incompatible thread patterns includes a body having a threaded interior shaft disposed for receiving a threaded rod. The interior shaft is threaded with a plurality of incompatible thread patterns from at least one particular set of incompatible thread patterns for receiving a rod having one of the incompatible thread patterns from the at least one particular set of incompatible thread patterns. In one aspect, the apparatus is adapted for coupling threaded rods having incompatible thread patterns, wherein the threaded interior shaft is disposed for receiving simultaneously a plurality of threaded rods respectively having incompatible thread patterns from the at least one particular set of incompatible thread patterns and thereby coupling the plurality of threaded rods.
