A display device includes a backlight assembly which outputs light and a display panel which displays an image by receiving the light. The backlight assembly includes a light emitting unit, a light guide plate, and a reflecting member. The light emitting unit generates light. The light guide plate guides the light provided from the light emitting unit to the display panel. The light guide plate includes a protrusion part which protrudes from a lateral side. Also, the reflecting member is arranged on the surface of the protrusion part and reflects the light supplied to the protrusion part of the light guide plate to a corner part of the light guide plate and the surroundings of the corner part.
