Embodiments of the present invention provide an information transmission method, a user equipment, and a base station. The method comprises: detecting a synchronization signal, and determining a sequence used by the synchronization signal; and determining, according to the sequence used by the synchronization signal, a carrier attribute of a carrier bearing the synchronization signal. By means of the information transmission method, the user equipment, and the base station according to the embodiments of the present invention, the implementation complexity of the user equipment is reduced, and the power consumption of the user equipment is lowered.
