A mobile terminal capable of inputting desired character and a character input method therefore are provided to input the character without error in the terminal providing a software keyboard using a touch screen by inputting initial sound of the character inputted with the voice. The initial sound of a initial character comprising the character is inputted(S21). The whole voice corresponding to the character is inputted(S22). The voice is recognized from a candidate group corresponding to the initial sound(S23). One character corresponding the recognized voice is extracted and is outputted on a screen(S24). |
