Disclosed is an image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus includes an input part receiving image data, a detecting part detecting print density of the received image data, an image processing part synthesizing an anti-copying pattern and image data to allow the anti-copying pattern to be printed at the density corresponding to the detected print density; and an image forming part printing the image data synthesized with the anti-copying pattern.
