The present invention relates to a high resolution direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation method for correlated multiple signals for estimating (predicting) a DOA signal in a receiver receiving a signal from a plurality of signal sources through an antenna array. The method includes: (a) expressing an antenna reception signal in a linear vector by applying a complex envelop expression method; (b) obtaining a new signal by performing auto convolution on the reception signal; (c) converting the reception signal (hereinafter referred to as a signal vector) expressed in the linear vector into data in a frequency domain through Fourier transform; (d) expressing a new signal vector in the frequency domain through Fourier transform; (e) extracting a first spectrum density matrix using an operator (hereinafter referred to as a delta product) performing a multiplication of elements and elements between two matrixes; and (f) obtaining a second spectrum matrix from a matrix obtained by spatial smoothing the first spectrum density matrix and a matrix obtained by backward spatial smoothing the first spectrum density matrix. According to the high resolution DOA estimation method, even when multiple signals arrive at the antenna array installed at a very narrow space and are correlated in a correlated additional noise environment, compared to other methods, a very good resolution is provided and multiple signals are detected. |
