A chain lubricant retainer comprises a flexible insulation that encapsulates an outer side of a drive chain and is attached to and moving with every chain link, holding the chain. The retainer has a petroleum/oil proof foam strip which holds and releases lubricant as and when required, thereby ensuring complete lubrication of all of the drive chain's moving points. By encapsulating the outer side of the chain, it is possible to retain the lubricating agent, against centrifugal force, making the lubricating agent permanently available for all of the chains moving components, for the main purpose of friction reduction. Such encapsulation also protects the chain from the all the outside elements, e.g. dust or dirt, salt from road and off road use, all of which causes early deterioration to the drive chain. This device will extend chain life by a significant margin. |
