<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a light distribution pattern for low beams and a light distribution pattern for traveling beams with high light utilization efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A headlight 100 for a vehicle is adapted to support light sources 1a, 1b, 1c by a light source support part 3a projected into a lamp chamber 100c from a reflector 5 and to form reflecting surfaces 5a1a, 5a1b, 5a1c reflecting light from the light sources 1a, 1b, 1c, at the reflector 5. Light guide parts 8a, 8b include a refraction part 8a1 refracting upward light L1aU1, L1aU2 radiated to the front side from the light source 1a but not incident to the reflecting surface 5a1a, to emit horizontal light or downward light L1a8a, and a refraction part 8b1 refracting upward light L1bU1, L1bU2 radiated to the front side from the light source 1b but not incident to the reflecting surface 5a1b, to emit horizontal light or downward light L1b8b, respectively. The light L1a8a, L1b8b from the refraction parts 8a1, 8b1 is used for forming the light distribution pattern P1 for low beams, and the light L1b8b from the refraction part 8b1 is used for forming the light distribution pattern P2 for traveling beams. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
