An embodiment of the present invention provides a charging method of a battery, capable of improving a lifespan characteristic of a battery cell by re-setting a full-charging amount of the battery cell when the battery cell is used while being maintained in a full-charge state. An embodiment of the present invention discloses the charging method of the battery, comprising: a step of determining if a battery cell is being charged; a step of determining the full-charged state of the battery cell if the battery cell is being charged; a step of preventing the charge of the battery cell if the battery cell is in the full-charged state; a step of determining whether the charging amount of the battery cell is a first standard capacity or not if the charging of the battery cell is prevented; a step of storing the number of times charging is prevented if the charging amount of the battery cell is the first standard capacity; a step of determining whether the number of times charging is prevented is the same as the predetermined number or not; a step of setting a full-charging amount of the battery cell as a second standard capacity if the number of times charging is prevented is the same as the predetermined number; and a step of discharging the battery cell to the second standard capacity by force. |
