The invention relates to a method for measuring the efficiency of class-A integrated linear power amplifiers using continuous temperature measurements. Figure 1 shows an integrated circuit (1) which contains a class-A linear power amplifier (2). Figure 1 also shows the generator that supplies a continuous voltage in order to power the amplifier (3) and the generator (4) of the signal that the amplifier amplifies and delivers to the load (5). By measuring the continuous component of the temperature at selected points of the integrated circuit, in this case point (6), t is possible to measure the efficiency of the amplifier without requiring the use of high-frequency analog signal measurement equipment.
