Bleaching compositions with improved performance and stability

The present invention relates to a bleaching composition for use in industrial scale bleaching processes. The composition is free of inorganic stabilizers, and comprises hydrogen peroxide at high concentrations along with modified organo-phosphonate compounds according to the present invention, that provides long term stability and prevents over stabilization caused by the conventional stabilizers. The composition may further comprise auxiliary ingredients such as surfactants and wetting agents. The invention also pertains to a process for treating textile materials involving the composition of the invention and a textile article treated according to such process.
